Screen enclosure services in Oviedo, FL

Oviedo Rescreening does five things to a screen enclosure in Oviedo: single-panel and partial rescreens, full cage rescreens, screen door repair and replacement, pet-resistant mesh on the panels that take abuse, and fine 20x20 mesh for midges and oak pollen. Researched market ranges for each are below, labelled as estimates rather than quotes.

Market context

What this work costs in Central Florida

Every number on this page is a researched third-party market range for Central Florida in 2026, compiled from competitors’ published pricing and national cost guides. It is not Oviedo Rescreening’s price book and it is not a quote for your cage.

Read this before you use the table. Seminole County-specific pricing does not exist in any public source we could verify — every figure below is Central Florida, statewide or national. Two of the national cost guides blocked direct access and their numbers come from search-result summaries rather than a page read, so treat the $25–$65 per-panel figure as the weakest number on this page.

Single-panel and partial rescreens

One blown panel, or the run of six on the west side that failed first because that is the side that gets the afternoon sun.

Old spline out, channel cleaned, new mesh cut and tensioned, new spline rolled in. On a 1990s Oviedo frame the channel is the risk: thirty years of humidity leaves it chalky and slightly out of shape, and mesh rolled into a channel like that pulls back out. Cleaning and, where needed, re-forming the channel is the difference between a repair and a re-repair.

If more than three or four panels on the same cage have gone, it is worth pricing the whole thing — the rest are the same age under the same sun and are usually within a season of the same fate.

02

Full cage rescreen

Every panel replaced in one visit, which is the only way the cage ends up with one uniform colour and one uniform tension.

A full rescreen is also the only time anybody looks at the whole structure properly. On the older Oviedo builds that means finding the corroded fasteners, the uprights that have started to pit at the deck line, and the spline channels that will not hold. Those get flagged before the mesh goes on, not after.

Important distinction for Oviedo: replacing mesh in an existing, unmodified frame is a different animal from touching framing, anchoring, geometry or a door opening. The second category is where sealed engineering and the building department come into it. The permit guide covers exactly where that line sits and where it is genuinely undocumented.

03

Screen door repair and replacement

Rollers, hinges, latches, closers, kickplates, sweeps, and full door replacement when the frame has gone out of square.

The door is the only moving part of a screen enclosure, so it wears out on a completely different schedule to the mesh. The classic Oviedo symptom is a door that drags and will not latch: nine times out of ten that is not the rollers, it is the corner fasteners letting the frame rack. New rollers on a racked frame buys a few months.

If bugs are getting in and the panels look fine, start at the door sweep and the side seals. That is a genuinely cheap fix and often a do-it-yourself one.

04

Pet-resistant mesh

A heavier vinyl-coated polyester weave, for the panels a dog actually reaches.

The honest version of this product: pet mesh costs roughly 1.5 to 2 times standard, and researched market pricing puts it at $1.50–$2.50 per square foot installed against $0.75–$1.25 for fiberglass. Putting it on an entire two-storey cage is mostly buying it for panels no animal will ever touch.

The version that makes sense is a partial upgrade — the lower course of panels and the door surround in pet mesh, standard or no-see-um mesh everywhere else. It also reads slightly darker and slightly less transparent than fiberglass, which matters if you are only doing part of the cage; tell us up front if a colour match across the whole enclosure is more important than the durability.

1.5–2x Cost versus standard fiberglass mesh

Researched market multiplier. Which is exactly why it belongs on the bottom four feet and not on the roof panels.

05

No-see-um and fine-mesh screening

Tighter 20x20 weave against midges, gnats and oak pollen. In Oviedo this is a freshwater product, and anyone selling it to you as a sand-fly product has copied their copy from a coastal site.

Oviedo is bounded on the north by Lake Jesup and crossed by the Econlockhatchee and Little Econlockhatchee rivers. UF/IFAS notes that aquatic midges — the “blind mosquitoes” — emerge in large dense swarms roughly April through November. They do not bite and they do not carry disease. They swarm, and they stain. True biting no-see-ums are primarily a coastal salt-marsh insect.

So 20x20 mesh gets sold in Oviedo for midges, gnats and pollen, and it genuinely works for that. It also cuts airflow and visibility compared with 18x14 fiberglass, which is a real trade-off and not one to make on the whole cage without thinking about it.

Apr to November — midge swarm season

UF/IFAS reports aquatic midge emergence across roughly that window, with dry springs and low lake levels making blooms worse. Lake Jesup is the north boundary of the city.

FAQ

Questions people actually type

These are real search strings, reproduced word for word from Google’s own autocomplete on 30 August 2026 — not questions invented to fill a page.

pool cage screen door replacement

A screen door is the part of the enclosure that gets used, so it fails on a different schedule to the rest of the cage. Researched Central Florida market pricing puts a full screen door replacement at roughly $250–$650, and a door panel rescreen with a kickplate at $90–$180. On the 1980s and 1990s Oviedo cages the usual finding is that the door frame is out of square because the corner screws have corroded, which is why a new set of rollers on its own never quite fixes the drag.

pool cage screen door sweep

The sweep is the flexible strip along the bottom of the door that closes the gap to the deck. It is the cheapest part of the whole enclosure and the one that lets in the most bugs when it is gone. If you are getting midges inside a cage whose panels all look fine, check the door sweep and the door’s side seals before you blame the mesh. It is a genuinely reasonable do-it-yourself job.

how much to rescreen a lanai

A lanai is usually a smaller panel count than a full pool cage. The researched market range for a small enclosure under 20 panels is about $800–$1,800, or $200–$900 if you are only doing part of it. Per square foot installed, Florida contractor content quotes $1.50–$3.50 depending on the mesh.

how much to rescreen a screened in porch

Same arithmetic as a lanai: it is panel count and mesh grade, not the word on the plan. Under 20 panels sits in the $800–$1,800 researched range. What changes the number in Oviedo is height — a two-storey screened porch on a Stonehurst or River Walk custom home pushes panels into the $60–$120 band instead of $45–$60.

how much does it cost to rescreen a pool enclosure

Researched market ranges for Florida in 2026: full rescreen $1,500–$4,500+, partial rescreen $200–$900. Broken down by mesh, per square foot installed: fiberglass $0.75–$1.25, polyester $1.20–$1.80, pet-resistant $1.50–$2.50, solar screen $1.80–$3.00. Every one of those figures is somebody else’s published number, gathered as market context. It is not a quote.

pool cage screen repair near me

If “near me” is Oviedo, the thing worth checking before you call anyone is which building department covers your address, because Black Hammock and much of the 32766 side toward Chuluota are unincorporated Seminole County rather than City of Oviedo. A contractor who does not know that is a contractor who has not worked here. See the permit guide.
