Pool screen repair in Black Hammock, Oviedo
Black Hammock carries an Oviedo 32765 mailing address but is unincorporated Seminole County — which means permitting goes through the county, not the City of Oviedo, and it sits closer to Lake Jesup’s midge hatch than almost anywhere else in the service area.

A different building department
County, not city
Black Hammock is an unincorporated community and census-designated place on the southern shore of Lake Jesup. Its mailing address reads Oviedo, FL, but any permit application for structural cage work here goes to the Seminole County Building Division on 407-665-7050, not City of Oviedo Building Services. That distinction is easy to miss and is exactly the kind of thing an out-of-town contractor gets wrong. Full jurisdiction breakdown.
Black Hammock is also directly adjacent to the Black Hammock Wilderness Area, and sits about as close to Lake Jesup’s midge hatch as it is possible to live in this service area.
Seminole County Building Division. Confirm your address here before anyone touches framing — the same call is worth making even for a mesh-only job, just to be certain which department applies.
The mesh case for Black Hammock specifically
This is where 20x20 earns its premium
UF/IFAS documents aquatic midges — the “blind mosquitoes” off Lake Jesup — emerging in large dense swarms roughly April through November. They do not bite and carry no disease; they swarm, and they stain. A tighter 20x20 weave is bought here mainly for that, and for oak pollen, not for coastal no-see-ums, which are a different insect. Get your cage looked at
Tell us the neighborhood, roughly how many panels are torn, and whether the cage is single or two storey. That is enough to give you a real number instead of a range.
