How long does a pool cage rescreen take?

A single panel is normally a same-day job, a couple of hours on site. A full cage typically runs one to two days depending on panel count, and longer again if corroded fasteners turn up once the old mesh is off. Oviedo’s own turnaround figures are not yet published; the ranges below are general trade timelines, not a promise.

Typical timelines

What adds time to each job

JobTypical timeWhat extends it
Single panel repair1–3 hours, same dayRoof-panel access, or a groove that needs repair rather than a re-spline
Mid-size cage, 20–40 panelsAbout a dayFastener corrosion found once the old mesh is off
Large or two-storey cage, 40–60+ panels1–2 daysMore upper panels, more ladder time

What can add time before work even starts

The Oviedo-specific parts

  • Which building department. Structural work needs confirming with City of Oviedo Building Services (407-971-5755) inside the city, or Seminole County (407-665-7050) in Black Hammock and much of the 32766 side toward Chuluota. Mesh-only work does not need this step at all.
  • Live Oak Reserve’s ARC. Any job that touches frame colour runs into the bronze-aluminum rule; a mesh-only job does not.
  • Weather. Florida rain delays outdoor work routinely, and hurricane season (June–November) is also when storm-damage jobs surge and book out faster.

how long does a pool cage rescreen take

A single panel repair is usually same-day, one to three hours. A full cage rescreen typically runs about a day for a mid-size cage (20–40 panels) and one to two days for a large or two-storey cage, longer if fastener or frame work turns up once the old mesh is off. In Oviedo, mesh-only work needs no permit step at all, but confirming which building department covers your address — city or Seminole County — is worth doing before any structural work starts.

Get your cage looked at

Tell us the neighborhood, roughly how many panels are torn, and whether the cage is single or two storey. That is enough to give you a real number instead of a range.
